This post is supposed to be my intro, a time when I talk about who I am, but I think in order to understand me, you need to understand fire first.
There is nothing in this world I can think of that is more pure than fire.
Fire is after all, pure energy, the release of light and heat through a chemical reaction. But if you really think about it, fire is so much more than that.
Fire represents passion, warmth, and new life. However, if you are not careful with it, you will get burned. You see, fire acts as reminder to those who dare to think themselves invincible or above other people, to those thinking they transcend Mother Nature herself, that we are but mortals. It is a reminder that no matter how much confidence we have in ourselves,
we need to take caution and learn humility.
There is a special species of pine tree, whose cones will only open and germinate if they have been exposed to fire. This is but one example of how fire represents new life. Every year, the grasslands expanding across the center of the US will burn towards the end of Fall. But as Spring comes, you can watch as millions of new grass blades emerge from the Earth, rising from the incredibly fertile soil the ashes of last years grass had given them.
I chose the pen name The Prince of Fire because I want to embody everything that fire means to me. I often like to compare my moods and personality differences with the behavior of fire. For example, you will often see me two ways without consistency. There is the quiet side of me, the side that burns low and peacefully sits atop the wick of the candle, giving a warm light to those who approach me. Other times I am a raging bonfire, testing my own limits to see how hot I can burn and how high my flames can reach. All the while inspiring people to let their fires burn, without self judgement or fear of others, learning that this is the key to true peace and freedom. Sometimes I feel I'm a little too much for people to handle up close, but it is my wish that everyone can at least enjoy my company from a distance.
The Prince part referring to how I feel like a young man with a lot of blessings and responsibility coming in the near future. Plus I believe we all get to feel and treat ourselves like royalty from time to time. I even think that is our birthright. And why the hell not? After all, the only person in my way is
me.
